Djewels\u00a0<\/strong>is a project that aims to\u00a0demonstrate the operational readiness of<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a020 MW electrolyser for the production of green hydrogen in real-life industrial and commercial conditions<\/strong>. It will bring the technology from TRL 7 to TRL 8 and lay the foundations\u00a0for a scale-up of European hydrogen production.<\/p>\n

The project\u00a0will be located in Delfzijl industrial park<\/strong>\u00a0in the Netherlands<\/strong> where HyCC\u2019s mother company Nobian already produces hydrogen through a chlor-alkali process. The Delfzijl industrial park has\u00a0a\u00a0direct connection to the electricity transmission grid and is home to several potential hydrogen offtakers.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Delfzijl Chemical Park will also\u00a0 connected to other industry clusters via the national hydrogen network in the future \u00a0These could allow Djewels to be a stepping stone towards the creation of a new hydrogen valley, in line with the ambitions of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and the regional roadmap, within the industrial cluster of Delfzijl, the Northern Netherlands and beyond.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0project is a front-runner among several hydrogen initiatives aimed at cutting carbon emissions and will be a significant milestone in the transition to a more sustainable, circular economy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
