Djewels, a project by HyCCand Gasunie, aims to develop a 20 MW electrolysis installation at the Chemie Park in Delfzijl to contribute to the energy transition in the context of climate change. Marc Bekhof, Project Engineer at Gasunie: \u201cThis concerns the development and construction of a demo hydrogen plant to improve the technology and provide knowledge and expertise for the construction of larger electrolysis plants in the future.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the current schedule, the final investment decision will take place in 2022, and the plant will be operational in 2024. Bekhof: \u201cAfter the final investment decision is made, the construction phase will last approximately 2 years. The factory will then be put into operation and the hydrogen produced will be delivered directly to the customers at Chemie Park Delfzijl via a hydrogen pipeline \u2013 under a pressure of 30 bar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artikel over Djewels in Magazine Waddengebied<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Een elektrolyse-installatie van 20 MW ontwikkelen op het Chemie Park in Delfzijl om bij te dragen aan de noodzakelijk energietransitie in het kader van klimaatverandering. Dat is de bedoeling van het project Djewels van HYCC (onderdeel van Nobian) en Gasunie. Marc Bekhof, Project Engineer bij Gasunie: \u201cHet gaat hier om de ontwikkeling en bouw van een demo waterstoffabriek om de technologie te verbeteren en in de toekomst kennis en kunde te leveren voor de bouw van grotere elektrolysefabrieken.\u201d<\/strong>

Volgens de huidige planning wordt het definitieve besluit voor de bouw van de fabriek later in 2022 genomen, waarna de installatie in 2024 operatief is. Bekhof: \u201cZodra het besluit voor de bouw van de fabriek positief is duurt de bouwfase circa 2 jaar. Daarna wordt de fabriek in gebruik genomen en zal de geproduceerde waterstof via een waterstofleiding \u2013 onder een druk van 30 bar \u2013 rechtstreeks aan de klanten op Chemie Park Delfzijl worden geleverd.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
